He was 58 years old and had resided in Prince Rupert for the last eight years. Born at Aalborg, Denmark, Mr. Poulsen went to the United States as a young man. set- ding at Waterloo, Iowa, where he was emDlovpri in a farm machinery plant. Later, he removed to Wayne, Alberta, where he took up farming.. He went to Vancouver just prior to the war then came to Prince Rupert in 1940. He was employed as a plater at the dry dock here for two years be fore opening a grocery and restaurant business on Sixth Avenue east, just east of the Hays Cuve bridge. A year ago he visited Den mark where his mother and j other relatives reside. Surviv-! ing him in Canada are his wife, one son, Erling, two daughters, Betty and Inez, and two grandchildren. There are also two nephews, John and Eric Poulsen, who arrived here recently from Denmark. Mrs. Poulsen and son, Erling, arrived in the city Thursday afternoon from Vancouver, and plan to return south today. The funeral will be held at Vancouver on Monday.
