It was fast and a little rough at times but, with the players rounding into playing shape, basketball in the city should look forward to one of 'its best seasons. The Intermediate game was between Fashion Footwear an'l Merchants with the former coming out on top 33-8. 'The first quarter ended 4-4 with both teams feeling each other oui. Fashion started rolling In th.3 second quarter and piled up j. 13-point lead as the half ended. Merchants couldn't hit the basket and their ball-handling and passing was very weak.
