Now if you will discuss this with your academic teacher who studies, zoology, he would tell you what I am trying to tell you, that we in the continent of America should cease discussing the differences about man. Man, as an animal, relatively is related. Prockter says we stand at the crossroads in this mortal life. The choices we make are real choices or we be lieve that nothing matters very much and that human life is totally Illusory and back of what we know is neither good or evu, parn or pieasure, reward or punishment. Those are a lot of words bunched together that require a little examination in ' relation to facts. To be convinced of what is not true is like taking a shot of mental morphine. It does not alter the facts. It the last paragraph Mr. Prockter and myself are in total agreement. Now let us pursue the facts about being at the crossroads. A little honest reasoning Is necessary. First, .man Is endowed with the faculty of thought and reason which to him Is a chart and compass the only means he can rely upon Tor direction. The question arises: What are we in search of? Mr. Prockter's purpose Is to penetrate the unknown world. My purpose is to ascertain the facts surrounding us in this world something within the reach and understanding of hu man man that can be applied to his service and increase his knowledge and happiness here and now. This being the only world we have a true tracing of, let us confine ourselves to it and try to improve it with all the ingenuity we can devise. As the unknown is sealed by an iron curtain we should noX try and make it appear realistic to those living here, offering deeds to property that cannot be furnished. Time could be more profitably employed, it seems to me, in dispelling fear of the unknown from the minds of man. The only thing I can see to fear is fear. We are all children of Mother Nature and in her eternal pos session we must remain. Whether to us she appears kind or cruel, whether we believe our selves to be her favorite child or condemned convicts it matters not. She neither weeps or rejoices. She cannot be saddened by tears or persuaded by prayer. Above her we cannot rise and beneath her we cannot fall. Whether we like her doctoring or not, it is a fact of nature dealing with time and eternity and on her sacred treasury of knowledge we all depend. All we have of value was obtained from there through honest labor and unfettered investigation. GEORGE B. CASEY. There is no such race as Jewish. It is a religion. There are no such peoples as Negroes, as Africa is a continent. There is no such man as an Indian, as Columbus never saw India. Europe is not inhabited by any distinctive peoples. All peoples are heterogeneously constructed. We inhabitants of the earth are not homogeneous. We are descendants from trillions of ancestors. Now let us discuss It from the analysis of science. What cycle does the faculty of man function upon? What degree does the adrenal gland vibrate its substance of melanis through the skin? Man"s faculties function upon certain cycles. Do you know the exact frequency of vibration that man's faculty of reasoning functions upon? For instance, a dog (canine) is psychic. He has the faculty of a vibrating mind to read your thoughts through vibration. For instance, suppose when we discuss the differences relatively in relation to man we understand the exact elements that the mind and body consist of. Then would we not cease to discuss the differences? Suppose -we discuss it from this angle. The dark coloring In an African's skin Is "melanin," from the Greek word "melanos" meaning black. The pigmenta tion of Asian Is yellowish as a shade or the natives of the con-.Inent of America Is brownish is a shade and the European has. a transparent skin reflecting the shade of red (blood). Now these elements are composed of carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen, oxygen and a little Iron.
