Actually,
the
sender
on
a
teletype
hook-up
does
not
transmit
directly
from
the
keyboard.
First,
he
"writes"
the
message
on
a
recording
tape.
To
do
this,
he
inserts
the
tape
into
a
recording
machine,
then
type
out
the
message

the
ordinary
way.
However,
instead
of
being
transmitted,
it
is
recorded
in
a
code
on
the
tape.
The
tape
can
then
be
put
through
the
transmitting
process
as
many
times
as
