C. Power Company herewith announces that orders have already been placed for a dcisel power plant of 3,800 h.p. capacity to be installed in Prince Rupert. Delivery of units in this city is scheduled for August, 1950, unci the plant is expected to be reudy for operation by October or November of this year. The city's water system has not, and will not, be endangered by any operation of the Shawatlans Power Plant, even if this means (he eventual closing down of this plant. The city engineer has beta consulted, at all Limes, as to the city's water requirements and power ui put. drastically reduced from the Shawatlans Plant to voluntarily assist the cltys water supply. An estimated minimum of 150 days supply will be maintained at all times for the city.
