The picture painted last fall on the mine road near Telkwa, in spite of the disturbances of American hunters, is, many are convinced, the best thing she has ever done, unless It is rivalled by her Winter Forest. Heart of the Quesnel exhibit is the oil painting of Reba Lewis, a half-dozen canvasses of considerbale merit, dealing with landscape and portrait subjects. The home burnishing class conducted several weeks ago by the extension department of the University of British Columbia has inspired a display that is unique. It is a furbished living room, a colorful and attractive arrangement of furniture manufactured or re-made by ladies who took the class. Exquisite shellcraft texhibits are on display by several exhi bitors, as well as a number of hooked rugs which have a richness of color and fabric com parable to the products of an oriental rugmakers shop.
