R:h n,n,. j llOBB YSHOW DATES April 27 to 30 have been tentatively set as the dates for this year's Hobby Show and preparations are already being made by the various hobby groups. This year it Is expected that there will be a much larger amount of work done in the Civic Centre itself to help out the work done in the homes and in the schools. DOLL DRESSING Many girls will have their doll to enter, dressed in clothes they have made themselves, and some will even have a large enough wardrobe so the doll mill wear a different outfit each tiay of the show. Prizes will be given for their work as well as for all junior hobby work. Next neck the girls will choose piece of material and make a dress, jumper, cape or pyjamas for the large doll which is to be raffled at the Hobby Show. Others will make shellwork brooches and hairclips, leather belts and underarm purses for it. Wood work The boys who work on Mondays are saving their guns and adult groups are making some beautiful purses. Many are helping in the making of one purse complete with keycase, wallet and memo pad which will be raffled at the Hobby Show. Shcllcrait This group is very busy and intend to progress from the attractive buttons, ear-rings and pins they are making now, to a variety of shadow frame pictures. Art Those taking art lessons are becoming more and more interested as they progress from drawings in charcoal and chalk to the use of watercolors and Jane Russell.
