That might sound somewhat premature, but it Is undoubtely the truth, because if Andy was chosen to make the trip to Toronto for the BEG trials and won there the Elks, we are sure, would' move heaven and earth to see that he got to the games. This is doubly a generous move on behalf of the Elks because they are doing something which many of the lodge members vowed they would never do again. But past differences, especially in a benevolent order, are something that should be forgotten and apparently have been, when a good cause arises. We can't think of a better cause. . We say that with confidence because we know that In 28-year-old Andy Marshall the Elks are backing someone who won't let them down. Win, loc or draw Andy will give his bcit with every ounce of his fighting heart, the same heart that was nearly broken when no one made a move to help him go down to the Diamond Bell tournament after he'd trained so hard. Right now, battered though he returned from his bouts with Messrs. Kelrhison, Elmore and t'ommndore, Andy has begun training again in preparation for his return match with Trent Kelrhison, the Royal Canadian Navy lad who last year went right through the Dominion championship and won the Canadian middleweight crown. Rbould the 11MCS Sioux be chosen to bring Ketchison and a group of accompanying fighting tars we suggest to anyone that has the remotest longing to see a good fight to book tickets the moment that the date and site for the brawl have been set. Ketchison is quoted as saying after the fight "that I'm ready to meet Marshall again, anywhere, anytime." Nowhere Is he described either in the press or by bystanders as having taken his loss gracefully or given Andy credit for tajs win. In fact we gather that, according to the Canadian chafnp, Andy's flooring him three times, the last time so that he was unable to rise, was a matter of luck. Well we're going to bo on hand come April to see Andy dispute this theory. After all, we understand that Ketchison was conscious at the end of the fight.- Several of Andy's opponents haven't been.
