The minister of national health has requested the Cana-gian Red Cross to undertake the collection of blood for the processing of gamma globulin. This is in addition to the society's present commitment to supply whole blood for civilian hospitals and blood products for emergency stock-piling The responsibility of the Canadian Red Cross is limited to the collection of blood. The processing will be undertaken by the Connaugh Medical Research Laboratories, University of T.-lonto, with financial assistance from the federal government.
