PRINCE RUPERT CURLING CLUB and may there be many years of enjoyable curling -o- IS 1 McBride St. Phone 311 It is with pride and pleasure that the prince Rupert Curling Club announces the official opening of their three-sheet artificial ice rink tonight at 7:45 p.m. The club has been in existence, witho"t any facilities, for over a year but the accomplishments in the last four months are a tribute to the community spirit of the city. The job hasn't been easy but the effort already appears well justified. Many of use hope that this will be the wedge that opens the way for a full size ice arena in Prince Rupert, a project, which, if last week's skating is an example, is now well worth further consideration. The project stands as a permanent tribute to many people . . . We thank each one of you and regret that individual recognition if. roi possible. Special thanks are due Doug Frizzell and B.C. Fees to local non-members are $1.00 per player per game, out ol town curlers will not be charged.
