A few weeks ago, for example, hundreds of
citizens gathered around the pool at MeClymont
‘Park to watch youngsters compete in Swim Day,
It was a lively and enjoyable oceasion which left a
hright memory of summer. But it was only made
possible by the determination of the Gyros to build
the pool in the first place and by the generosity of
the public in replying to the Club’s appeal for fin-
auncial help,

That, however, is an isolated and not particu-
larly representative instance, Day by day and
year by year children enjoy the MeClymont Park
pools and the many other recreational facilities
which the Gyros, with public support, have made
vallable to ther, 7

{n common with other service clubs in the city,
the Gyros have made it their duty to provide some
of those things which cannot be ineluded in the
municipal program but which add so much to com-
munity pleasure. It is a duty which can never be
completely fulfilled for ‘there is always something
else to be done. The. Gyros. are looking’ ahead to
other needs and, with the help of everyone, tomor-
row will come that much closer to meeting them,
