Shirley Temple Returns,
As Glamorous Brunette

HOLLYWOOD (7 —-Shirley Temple, who started her career
as a cuddly blonde. two-year-old, is returning to show business

as o glamorous prunette of 29.
* Starting January 12, she’ll ap-

pear on NBC television as hos-
tess of the Shirley Temple story~
book, hour-long presentations of
fairly tales. She’ll also act in
three of the tales, marking her

QUESNEL, B.C. () — House-
wives’ meat-buying preferences
seem to have ended a contro-
versy raging for several years
among cattlemen on the vast
ranges in intetlor British Colum-
bia.

The issue concerns the relative
merits: of raising grass-fed or
erain-fed cattle. It vitally affects
B.G.’s $14,000,000 beef cattle in-
dustry and the province's posi-
tion as one of the last North
American strongholds of grass-
finished cattle.

Throughout the Nicola Valley,
Chilecotin and Cariboo ranching
districts, grass-fed cattle have
been tradilional for 75 years, ‘and
still are.
