was held to raise money for the
WA project, a new oxygen tent,
now in. use at the Prince Rupert
General hospital,

General convener Mrs. Arthur
Sweet said the oxygen tent, onc
of the first of its kind is deemed
to give more efficient use of
oxygen, a constant temperature
and humidity control for the
patient’s comfort.

The bazaar featured a special
display by the Columbia Cel-
lulose Company Ltd., Watson
Island plant, which ranged from

The first fall bazaar to be staged by the international Broihericod of
Pulp, Sulphite and Paper Mill Workers Local 708 Women’s ‘auxiliary, ‘Satur-'
day afternoon in the Civic Centre, realized $450.

 

‘from the CCC trademark “green
geese” was. attractively. arran-
ged. throughout the. bazaar
lounge’ while the individual : tea
tables were covered: with white
pulp and paper, centred with
ccc pamphlets and books of
matches.. .

President Mrs. B. J. Fortune
received the large | number of
guests and co- -convener was Mrs.
‘Werner Géllenbeck. Cashier was
Mrs. A. ©. Norherg. °—

The. kitchen’ was “under the
direction of Mrs, Joseph. Kurd-
ziel with Mrs. Stanley Peterson
and Mrs. ‘Sidney Hamlan, assis-
ting. .

Tea. hostess was Mrs. , Carl
Klages while ‘serviteurs ‘were
Mrs. W. T. Rothwell, Mrs. Ar-
