In two runs over misty Coniston Water, Campbell sped niong at an average speed of 230 miles per hour. Prior to ee introduction of the V motor,f owners of large cruisers and similar craft were forced to buy two big horse- power engines to make their boats perform properly and ata reasonable rate of speed. Natur- ally a substantial investment was required. Many families who wanted to get into boating couldn’t simply because they couldn’t afford it. The 50 horsepower V motor will do much to change this picture. One motor will now do the job which formerly required two.
