With many visitors Prince Rupert staylng at Landing we are finding our “Dally News" very popular among them, as they are passed around, As they have no radios they. have lost touch with all the news, and as the Dally News gives world news as well as local they can catch up, although a hit late, from the ‘A Prince Rupert woman Mrs. Glenn Stanford, has the record of moving house and four in her family In hale an hour. The Stanford family moved into the Ferry cottage on Saturday, and with an extra one having come along with them, found It a bit small. So when the Walker fam- ily from Prince George moved out of the large Coffee Shop residence, we thought it a good Idea for the Stanford famlly to move In there and have lots of room to move about. With the help of the youngsters the whole move was accomplished in no! time at all. Brian and Lynne helped, also Brian Parker who js staying with them, but young Craig only confused things by falling in the lake with his clothes on and requiring a com- plete change. As this is the sec- ond time that he has done. this, changing clothes will soon: be- come routine, “Mrs. J. Mrs. John Keefe is home again after being away for a month in Prince George, looking after her daughter Marion's five young- sters as Marion has been in the hospital,She is now home again, also Mrs. Henkel, who is Staying with the Mummery family, Mrs. Henkel is now able to walk a little after her accident, but will have to be very careful for a while. To celebrate Mrs. Keefe’s homecoming and our daughter- in-law Josephine’s birthday ‘on Wednesday, we had members of our family in, in the evening, also Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Perley who are like our family members having stayed here before. . Mrs. Keefe made a birthday cake and the small members helped blow out the candles. During Monday night our barn cat must have climbed onto the toof and reached down and taken the baby swallows from the nest we have been so care- fully watching over our back; door. I knew there was some- thing wrong as soon as I was up in the morning as the two par- ent swallows were making a big to-do and scolding me, as they were probably convinced that I had done the evil deed. They stayed around for two days, then decided that the litle ones had gone for good and they have left.
