Minister P, A. Gaglardi said here
‘that paving of the Northern
Trans-provincial Highway  be-
tween Prince George and Prince
Rupert wilt be completed by the
fall of 1960. :

Paving from Prince George to
Quesnel will be laid next year.

A major program will be
undertaken on the ‘John Hart
Highway as soon as the West:
Coast Transmission pipeline,
which para lels the route, is com-
pleted and if no major recon-
Struction of the roadbed is nec-
essary. Meanwhile, pulvamix
paving will be laid for a distance
of 20 miles this year between
Mile 28 and 48.

Mr. Gaglardi said that the
missing 90 mile link on Highway
16 between Prince George and
Edmonton will not be completed
for at least another five years,
unless completion becomes “ab-
solutely necessary.” :
