Rutherford told the mecting that this year a new addition of the primary course of studies has been published, and that a fuller course is now planned, particu- larly in the field of arithmetic. “It puts a greater burden on teacher and pupils” she observ- ed. “I am- sure we can handle it, the trend towards a greater con- tent.” Following Mrs. Rutherford’s address on the curriculum in the primary grades the 97 members in attendance heard the story continued for the intermediate grades by vice-princpial J.
