REUNIONS IN LONDON (Continued from Pago One) ; slst upon taking me to the Palladium (a variety house) and we sure did the whole thing properly. No "fumbling" about Fred! 'We had eats galore but went a bit slow on the liquids for the reason lhat the weather was hot and . the liquids were turning to steam as we drank them. So Fred said "no us6 wasting money that way,", Anyway It was as good as a school treat, with unlimited colored pop and icC cream, to be out with the old timcf and by the time I got home In the early hours I'd learned a bit about! London myself. That's Fred that was to quote a well-known' advertising phrase. Fred will spend a. few, weeks visiting with relatives out of town and will. also do Paris. He has booked to sail September 1 aboard the Queen Mary on his return to Prince Rupert. Miss Earl Too Oh, yes, I also ran Into Miss Earl during the great festivities what a small village this is at timesl Now "Miss Earl has been burning up the sidewalks, believe me, and I understand the County Council has a big bill against her for damage to the streets. I "don't suppose there will be much left for her to see by the time the return journey is due. It was sure a pleasure to sec her smiling countenance again the solution of the problem of "per petual youth" I should say. It was eleven years since I had had the pleasure of gazing upon her and, to judge from her looks, It seems but a day. Guess I'll get full marks for this if ever she reads It! I be-lieve her Journeys In these small islands have taken her as far south as Bournemouth and as far north as Scotland to say nothing 01 a -swim over to Ireland It was very gratifying to we na tives to hear Miss Earl- exclaim: "Well, boys, you sure made a good Job of the Coronation!" I only hope that she has enjoyed London as much as we Londoner. fiave enjoyed her company. , v -il Come in or phone 0. We'll do the rest.
