Hon. Ernest Bertrand, minister of fisheries,, was a busy man during his visit to Prince Rupert yesterday and he saw a good many things at first hand while here, also hearing representations which should prove of value to him in dealing with questions affecting the fisheries of the British Colnmhia ront in which Prince Rupert is such an important factor. It was gratifying to find that Mr; BertranH n aware of a number of things in regard to which he desired first hand and visual information. He expressed appreciation of the importance of Pnncr Rupert's position in the fisheries and admitted thaf this port was entitled to some more tangible consideration than it was getting.
