(295 j High Praise For Christmas Drama A good sized audience greeted the second performance of the dramatic cantata "The Lost Carol" at the Baptist Church last evening and high praise was elicited' In the presentation of this impressive drama. S. Calder and Miss Sllverthorn played the leading roles of Mr. and Mrs. Franz Gruber with C. Reimer and Henry Bell as choir leader and repentant son respectively. The children's stage choir consisted of Dianne Gilker, Jen Kelly, Elsie Schilder, Mary Calder, Hilda and Elsie Meu fells. The tableau of the Father arid Prodl- jgal Son was lm;ersonated by P. 1 H. Linzey and Henry Bell. The Good Samaritan tableau consisted of Chas. Morris, Dick Gilker, Guy Meuffels, Wesley Hughes and Jack Bougress. . The tableau of the Nativity 'was presented by E. Wright. LADY SUP'T IS APPOINTED Miss r. M. Mooncy, K.X., to Take Charge of Prince Kupcrt General Hospital Miss Phyllis M. Mooney, R.N., who for eleven years was operating room supervisor and on occasion acting lady superinten dent of the Prince Rupert Gen eral Hospital, has received the appointment of lady superintendent of the local Institution. Chosen at a special meeting of the executive committee yesterday afternoon, she will assume her duties after the first of the year. She is at present visiting in the city, having arrived a few days ago from Creston where she has recently been acting as lady superintendent of the hospital. Miss Mooney i.s a graduate of Boston General Hospital. Scon after graduation she went to ,the Orient and for a time was a surgical supervisor in a RockeJ feller FounCalion Hospital at Peiping, China. On her return to this country, she came to Prince Rupert and, after leaving here, spent a time at Pouce Coupe In the Peace River. Before the war she left for England and was in Nice, France, shortly before the conflict broke out. Then she returned to England and for, the first couple of years of the war was engaged in civilian wartime nursing. Two years ago she returned to CANADIAN ADVANCE GUARD Early.
