Vessel v Breaks Tail-shaft and Withdrawn Suddenly from Servire While nearing Vancouver on her regular southbound voyage from Prince Rupert and Ketchikan, C. N. K. steamer Prince Rupert, Capl. William Eccles, broke her tailshaft and dropped her propellor with the result that she has had to be withdrawn from service to enter drydock and her sailing this week has been cancelled.- Next week the run will be taken over by the new steamer Prince George which is completing her schedule of Alaska tourist voyages this week and will be here tomorrow evening southbound. Whether or not the accident and sudden withdrawal of the Prince Rupert from service a week ahead of time will affect the decision as to where the vessel is to receive an extensive overhaul is yet to be ascertained.
